Whether you sell online, freelance or run a market stall, sooner or later a customer asks for an invoice. You don't need accounting software — here's how to make a proper one in a minute.
Make an invoice
- Open the Invoice Generator.
- Fill in your business (add your logo and, if you're registered, your VAT/tax number).
- Add the client's details, an invoice number and dates.
- Add your line items — the subtotal, tax and total calculate as you type.
- Download a clean PDF, ready to email.
What a valid invoice needs
Most places require the same core details, and the tool covers them:
- The word "Invoice" (or "Tax invoice" — the title is editable).
- A unique invoice number and the date.
- Your name/address and tax ID, plus the client's details.
- A description of what was sold, with amounts and tax.
Tips
- Keep invoice numbers sequential (INV-001, INV-002…) — that's on you to track.
- Selling items at different tax rates? Turn on Tax per line for a per-rate VAT breakdown.
- Nothing is uploaded — your client and pricing details stay on your device.
