- Is this QR code generator free?
- Yes — completely free, no signup, and the QR code is generated in your browser. There are no scan limits and the codes never expire.
- Do the QR codes expire or track scans?
- No. These are static QR codes — the data is encoded directly in the pattern, so they work forever and we don’t track scans (nothing to expire or pay for).
- Can I add my logo to the centre?
- Yes. Upload your shop logo under the Logo tab — we automatically raise the error-correction level so the code still scans reliably with the logo in the middle.
- What can I put in a QR code?
- A website link, plain text, an email, a phone number, an SMS, Wi-Fi login details (so customers join without typing a password), or a contact card (vCard).
- PNG or SVG — which should I download?
- PNG for printing on packaging, inserts or thank-you cards. SVG is a vector, best if a designer needs to scale it large (note: the frame is included in the PNG).
- Will a custom-coloured QR code still scan?
- Yes, as long as there’s strong contrast between the dots and the background (dark on light). Keep the background light and avoid low-contrast colour pairs.
