A tight, straight, square photo sells better than a wonky one with dead space around the edges — and most marketplaces want a square main image. Here's how to fix that in seconds.
Crop to a square (or any ratio)
- Open the Crop & Rotate tool.
- Drag the crop box over your product, or tap 1:1 to lock a perfect square.
- Download. There are presets for 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16 too, or drag the corners freely.
Rotate a sideways or crooked photo
Phone photos often come in rotated. Use Left / Right to turn it 90° at a time, and Flip H / V to mirror it. The crop box follows the rotated image so you can frame it exactly.
Tips for listing photos
- Fill the frame — crop out empty background so the product is the hero.
- Square (1:1) is the safe default for Amazon, eBay and Etsy thumbnails.
- Cropping keeps full quality; you're only trimming pixels, not re-compressing the whole shot.
It all runs in your browser — your photo is never uploaded.
